This is an Anza Boddington fixed blade, handmade in the USA by Anza Knives. If you know Anza, you already understand the appeal. If you don’t, this is one of their most carried models for a reason.
The blade is forged from a reclaimed high carbon steel file, then heat treated and tempered for real use, not display. The finish is blued, similar to a blued firearm barrel. It’s done for corrosion resistance and character, and it develops a natural patina over time rather than trying to stay pretty forever.
This one has black micarta handle scales, which are durable, grippy, and comfortable without being bulky. It rides well on the belt and disappears more than you’d expect for a fixed blade.
Approximate specs (Anza Boddington standard):
I carry Anza knives myself, including a Boddington and a SWAT, and they’ve earned my trust the old fashioned way. They cut, they hold an edge, and they’re easy to maintain. No gimmicks, no mystery steel, no factory shortcuts.
If you already have a knife you love, keep it sharp and it’ll serve you well. If you’re looking for a fixed blade that’s honest, American made, and built to be used, this one checks those boxes.
